Interior paintings

The exhibition is not a line-up of works on the ad hoc walls of an art gallery, even if the paintings are indeed presented as such. It is a global concept that starts outside the building, on the pavement, in front of the gallery’s windows, then develops throughout the place and ends with a view of the outside. Nevertheless, each work can be taken out of this context, isolated, transposed elsewhere and thus considered for itself. The title of the exhibition and its theme are immediately understandable in view of this interior/exterior duality, since all the pictorial motifs relate to parts of architectural interiors or to decorative details potentially present in them. The latter are small paintings of various wallpaper motifs that could cover the walls of the places represented.
